KC Pioneers Tea Dance: Santa Smackdown

KC Pioneers have an annual competition for the best Santa.

To help even the field, Novice Sister Bennie Dryl participated in the Santa Smackdown.

The contestants competed in four competitions-stocking stuffing, untangling Christmas lights and decorating their boy with them, wrapping their boy, and hand spanking, flogging, and paddling Rudolf.

We congratulate Santa StrongHandsMO on winning!

Bistro 303's Hope Care Center Toilet Paper Drive

Every year, Bistro 303 hosts a toilet paper drive to donate to the Hope Care Center. This donation drive provides a year's worth of toilet paper to the residents at HCC.

This year, Abbess Glamarama Ding Dong, Guard Phil La Joque-Strapp, and Guard Burley Esque attended the drive, and on behalf of the house, donated a few cases of rolls as well as promulgated some joy to the donors in attendance!

We love Hope Care Center and Bistro 303, and we're glad to help where we can.

Trans Day of Remembrance

The Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on November 20th as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. The City of Fountains Sisters joined Transgender activists at Community Christian Church to support and to remember those that have been lost. Rain and wind may have prevented us from marching, but we (and all in attendance) were treated to stirring speeches and music from local activists. It was a night to reflect and realize that there is still so much to do in the fight for equality for the Transgender Community.

COFS Drag Queen Story Time

This month Novice Sister Bach LaVa takes the helm after the completion of Sr. Goldie Grrr's Novice Project, Drag Queen Story Time!

We had a lot to be thankful for with Thanksgiving right around the corner. Gathered with friends and chosen family, the queens read stories of positivity and hilarity.

Special thanks to Lana Luxx, Astro the clown, and Kissy Lee for joining us, reading to the kids, and performing!

Willkommen: Leave Your Troubles Outside

We were asked to help nun photo booths during homecoming at Studio Dan Meiners, while raising money for SAVE Inc.

Seeing good friends as well as new faces taking photos, enjoying the cabaret style floorshow, and enjoying their true genuine selves in an all inclusive space, is a refreshing break from the outside world.

Wine Walk on Delaware

The Wine Walk on Delaware was an absolute blast! It's always a fun time to promulgate joy within our community at other places than our usual hangouts!

This time we were invited out to the River Market area to visit with patrons, take some photos, and promulgate love and joy! And who doesn't love a little dancing!

COFS Drag Queen Story Time

This month, Littlest Sister Queen Ciabatta Ding Dong and Novice Sister Bach Lava took charge of Drag Queen Story Time and added a very spooky twist!

After reading stories of monsters, witches, and spirits of the great beyond, everyone got to decorate a paper jack-o-lantern to take home!

We hope to see everyone next month!

KC Marathon Cheering with Run816

Last year, Run816 won the award for the best cheering section of the KC Marathon. This year, they asked us to join them, AND WE HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!

Some community members took photos of and with us, and even a few of the runners stopped to take selfies with us! There was more than one runner who was ecstatic and started screaming when they saw us! One almost tackled Novice Sister Versa Major to the ground!

And a tradition that we've started is bringing some of Sister Burma's cookware from her kitchen and using it as a noisemaker. Last year, we broke a wooden spoon across the pan. This year, we broke the bottom of the pot clean off from hitting it so hard!

Living Your Truth

Novice Sister I'Gnomee Truth organized an event to show others that it is okay to be themselves.
It is okay to know your truth.
It is okay to live your truth.

Proceeds from the event benefit:

○ Kansas City's Youth Prom

Novice Sister I'Gnomee Truth was also elevated to Fully Professed at intermission!!!
