On this day, our fabulous Sister Queen Ciabatta Ding Dong made a plan to take food and money she raised via a Lemonade Stand to Pride Haven! Many sisters jumped at the chance to join her for this event and made a lovely day out of this beautiful gesture by Sister Queen Ciabatta Ding Dong! After some fun in the sun at The Blackbox, we took a hop, skip and a jump on over to Hamburger Marys! It was here, where they were putting on a lovely show. Sister Leia Organza lead the charge in giving a blessing for this special event! Today was a day of fun at The Blackbox! We went to have some fun and spread some loving joy as The Blackbox celebrated Pride Month! Flowers and balloons and bubbles galore!  Today brought the sisters to The Nelson Atkins Art Museum lawn! It was here where we had some fun with a round of mini golf, leading to a pop-up story time with the sisters! Sister Ethyl Lynn Torch, The Flaming, was prepared with a book of her own! Today, we partnered with The Savoy @ 21c. We want to thank 21c for allowing us to have a bit of brunch fun, this morning! We watched as our Abbess, Sister Cheez Whiz Fabulous and NvC Sister Molly Alice Minx twirled for donations. We are so excited to do another brunch in the future! To celebrate AIDS Walk 2020 because of the ongoing pandemic, AIDS Walk 2020 was rescheduled for today! The sisters were asked to escort guests to the room for the event as well as pass out raffle tickets for many items. Our Abbess, Sister Cheez Whiz Fabulous gave an amazing blessing to top of the event!  On this day, The Blackbox invited us out to help celebrate Pride Month! While we currently are still dealing with a virus in the US, Sister Lemonade Phoenix created a new Magical Manifestation Party with the theme of Pride! The events from this video can be viewed on the youtube video below! Proclaiming Pride brought a gorgeous ceremony with music, spoken word poetry and interpretive dance. We were asked to provide a blessing that was carried out by our Abbess, Sister Cheez Whiz Fabulous.  This night we took to remember the very special life of Molly Hammer. Her passing was hard for many in the community. We came and gave a special blessing as well as some positive affirmations to those having a hard time with the day. |
