Thanksgiving in Kansas City!

Thanksgiving is a time to pay remembrance to things we are thankful to have. Whether that's family, lack thereof, or community; we all can be thankful for the friends we have made along the way.

This Thanksgiving, we paid a visit to the local bars as they were providing meals to those without families to visit. To those who just wanted a hot meal and a warm hug. To those who needed a reminder that they are not alone.

We love you KC, and we are here for you.

Missie Burns gets her wings!

Michael Burns, a.k.a. Missie Burns, was awarded the title of Angel for all of the hard work he does to create a safe space for everyone in the community.

From donating money, to hosting charity events, to providing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to those without families, he has time and time again proved to be an Angel to every member of the community.

Trans Day of Remembrance

The Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on November 20th as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. The City of Fountains Sisters joined Transgender activists at Community Christian Church to support and to remember those that have been lost. Rain and wind may have prevented us from marching, but we (and all in attendance) were treated to stirring speeches and music from local activists. It was a night to reflect and realize that there is still so much to do in the fight for equality for the Transgender Community.

Pioneers Tea Dance: Truss Your Turkey!

This tea dance was the biggest one so far! There were so many new faces! We are truly grateful for everyone in this community.

COFS Drag Queen Story Time

This month Novice Sister Bach LaVa takes the helm after the completion of Sr. Goldie Grrr's Novice Project, Drag Queen Story Time!

We had a lot to be thankful for with Thanksgiving right around the corner. Gathered with friends and chosen family, the queens read stories of positivity and hilarity.

Special thanks to Lana Luxx, Astro the clown, and Kissy Lee for joining us, reading to the kids, and performing!

MGRA 2020 Royalty Competition

The Missouri Gay Rodeo Association crowned their 2020 Royalty tonight. We were happy to be in attendance and provide a blessing, and spread some joy to those in attendance.

We were asked to help nun photo booths during homecoming at Studio Dan Meiners, while raising money for SAVE Inc.

Seeing good friends as well as new faces taking photos, enjoying the cabaret style floorshow, and enjoying their true genuine selves in an all inclusive space, is a refreshing break from the outside world.

ConsentKC's One Stop Fetish Shop

Twice a year, ConsentKC (CKC) hosts a flea market type event now named the "One Stop Fetish Shop" at Missie B's.

CKC invited COFS to promulgate joy, hawk our wares, and make new connections and friends.

We even bought some stuff ourselves from the other vendors!

Bear Bust: SML Titleholders Fundraiser

This bear bust was a little different than what we were used to. Most bear busts have a more male-oriented audience. This time, we were ecstatic to see all sorts of individuals of many genders and orientations there, enjoying the music, drinks, and helping raise travel funds for our Show Me Leather titleholders.

The titleholders made Jell-O shots in the colors of the leather pride flag, Novice Sister Versa Major and Novice Guard Burley Esque sold every single one before midnight!
