Sister Amethyst Rose​

I’m Sister Amethyst Rose. (She/They)

I joined the COFS in late 2018. My first exposure to the Sisters was Easter 2018 and then again during PrideFest 2018.

I’ve always wanted be apart of helping the LGBTQ+ community and when I heard about the City of Fountains Sisters, I was hooked.

Life for me was strange growing up. I didn’t know who I was, I just knew I was very different than what society was telling me I should be. I’ve learned now, that I am a Trans Non-Binary person and love myself as I am.

My goals as a Sister is to get rid of stigmas that surround the LGBTQ+ community as well as help younger LGBTQ+ youth feel safe and help them understand themselves and who they are, is valid.

Also, keeping our Trans & Enby friends safe and spreading knowledge to those who are not as knowledgeable about trans identities.

Remember friends, Silence is Violence, Black Lives Matter/Black Trans Lives Matter and always speak up for those who feel, they don’t have a voice.
