Guard Burley Esque

A few years ago, I was afraid to go out to events because I was entirely new to the community. I didn’t know who I was, or what (and who) I liked. Then I met the Sisters. Whenever I went to events, I knew that if they were there, I was in a safe place.

And that’s what I want to do with the Sisters. I want people to feel welcome in their own community. I want people to feel safe and to feel wanted. I want to be the face in the crowd that someone knows that if they don’t feel safe, or if they’re scared, they can come up to.

Outside of events and helping the community, I love to sew all sorts of things; from special projects and alterations for people, to quilt blocks, to stuffed animals and muppets. I’m a huge theatre fan and went to college to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Cinema.
